AI Explorers is the perfect starting point for curious minds aged 9 to 12 to begin understanding how smart systems work, all while having fun with hands-on activities, engaging games, and creative storytelling.

This Level 1 course is designed to make the world of AI accessible, exciting, and age-appropriate. We take big ideas like pattern recognition, decision-making, and machine learning, and we break them down in a way that makes sense for young learners. Our focus is on play-based, exploratory learning that builds both confidence and curiosity.

What AI Skills Will Your Child Learn?

Over the course of the program, students will be introduced to the world of Artificial Intelligence through fun, hands-on learning. Here’s what they’ll explore:

  • Understand what AI is (and what it isn’t) in kid-friendly terms, including where we see AI in everyday life-from voice assistants to self-driving cars and smart devices.
  • Play logic-based games that strengthen critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a playful and engaging way.

How Our Artificial Intelligence Courses Work

Each session runs for one hour and is designed to be paced at each individual’s level, fun, and focused on exploration. Each class begins with a quick warm-up activity or puzzle to get brains buzzing. Then, our experienced coaches guide students through an introduction to the day’s AI concept using visual demonstrations and real-world examples.

The main part of the session involves a structured hands-on activity. These might include creating simple decision trees, building a pattern-sorting game, or training a basic AI tool to recognise images or words, creating images or designs. Activities are carefully scaffolded to support a range of abilities, with plenty of room for creative expression.

We wrap up each session with a group reflection to share discoveries and celebrate what we’ve learned. Kids are encouraged to ask questions, share their thinking, and explore further between sessions.

  • Do kids need any prior coding experience to join these classes?

    No prior coding experience is required at iCode School. These classes are beginner-friendly and designed to introduce coding concepts from scratch. Children with no prior experience can start learning and gradually build their skills, while making friends and enjoying their time in the studios with like minded thinkers.

  • Will my child be spending too much time in front of a screen?

    While our games development classes involve using computers, they also encourage creative thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. Many classes include hands-on activities, group discussions, and offline exercises to balance screen time. Our kids lean into the technology rather than letting it wash over them in unconscious engagement.
