Ready to Go Deeper? Let’s Build with AI

In AI Creators, kids move beyond simply understanding how Artificial Intelligence works-they begin designing and building their own intelligent systems using generative AI. This course is designed for curious teens aged 13 to 15 who are ready to take on more advanced challenges, work creatively with AI tools, and explore real-world applications.

Through hands-on projects and guided experimentation, kids will learn how to train models, build simple chatbots, and solve problems using AI-powered tools. The emphasis is on creative thinking, ethical awareness, and learning through doing.

This is where learners shift from being observers of technology to creators of it.

  • Learn how to train and test machine learning models, using structured datasets and guided digital tools.
  • Experiment with AI tools to explore image recognition, natural language processing, and decision-making systems.
  • Design and build simple chatbots that can hold conversations, answer questions, and respond to user input.
  • Develop problem-solving strategies to approach tasks like a data scientist or machine learning engineer.
  • Think critically about bias, safety, and ethics, learning how to build responsible and inclusive AI solutions.
  • Explore the impact of AI in industries like healthcare, finance, robotics, and creative arts.
  • Present their projects and ideas, building communication and collaboration skills along the way.

Projects are scaffolded to support a wide range of learners, and kids are encouraged to bring their own ideas, creativity, and interests to each task.

How the Program Works

Each weekly session runs for 1 hour and follows a dynamic, student-centered format. Lessons begin with a short challenge, warm-up, or AI concept demonstration, followed by in-depth, hands-on project work. Coaches provide real time guidance and feedback to support each student’s learning journey.

The course includes:

  • Guided use of AI development platforms
  • Real-time model training with safe, age-appropriate data
  • Opportunities to customise and test their own chatbot or AI-powered tool
  • Group discussions on ethics, innovation, and the future of technology
  • A final showcase session where students can present and explain their AI creations

We believe in learning by doing-so students won’t just hear about AI, they’ll experience it through building, testing, and refining their own creations.

Future Proofing

Australian schools lack the resources to deliver the skills your child requires. An older teaching workforce and the newness of game design mean that schools are still scrambling to up-skill. Research shows only 1 in 3 ICT teachers are qualified to teach coding, let alone game design. Programming games for kids is a great way to future proof your child's skills.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Do kids need any prior coding experience to join these classes?

No prior coding experience is required at iCode School. These classes are beginner-friendly and designed to introduce coding concepts from scratch. Children with no prior experience can start learning and gradually build their skills, while making friends and enjoying their time in the studios with like minded thinkers.

  • Will my child be spending too much time in front of a screen?

While our games development classes involve using computers, they also encourage creative thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving. Many classes include hands-on activities, group discussions, and offline exercises to balance screen time. Our kids lean into the technology rather than letting it wash over them in unconscious engagement.
